 Modeling levees and capturing topo-bathymetric details with RiverFlow2D

In this training video you will learn how to make effective use of specialized RiverFlow2D v3 GUI tools to correctly account for levees and other topographic elements in two dimensional hydraulic modeling. We will cover the following topics:

  1. How to import and various elevation data sets in different layers
  2. Apply alternative interpolation methods for each set that better adapt to data specifics
  3. Add breaklines and other geometric components to make sure that the model mesh captures singular topographic features including levees, roads, etc.
  4. Make judicious mesh refinement to optimize computer time and improve model accuracy. 

The training will focus on developing hands-on exercises to ensure that participants will be able understand the tools and techniques that will be provided to improve 2D hydraulic simulation using RiverFlow2D v3 Argus ONE edition.
