What are our users saying?
"The RiverFlow2D Model has provided significant value to key projects involving detailed riverine hydraulic analyses. It is a robust Hydrodynamic 2D modeling software that accurately models a wide range of hydrodynamic situations through the use of the flexible mesh. We have used it, for example, to hydraulically model extreme floods along the lower Susquehanna River in south-central Pennsylvania. It provided accurate results that compared well with measured high water elevations from historic flood events. Overall, we have found RiverFlow2D to be a valuable tool, and look forward to using it on future projects."
"We used RiverFlow2D for analysis of flow around large-diameter bridge piers placed in a wide, highly braided, glacial-fed stream. First, for a 2-D model, the model was easily developed. In addition, modeling results checked well against known water surface elevations. The detailed hydraulics were used for local pier scour computations, which when compared to previous scour calculations, resulted in a reduction of pier scour by about ten percent. We definitely intend to use RiverFlow2D in the future when a refined analysis of local flow conditions is warranted."
"RiverFlow2D is a great tool for detailed flow analysis, especially through complex structures where a one-dimensional flow approach is not valid. For complex flow models RiverFlow2D can be quicker and easier to use than typical one-dimensional models, but still provides detailed and accurate results. Plus, the results can easily be transferred to GIS or CAD to create a fully customized display."
